I really had missed Mel Gibson, I mean he definitely has movies in my fav's pile and usually a long break helps actors gain a unique perspective towards their craft, think Mikey Rourke or Robert Downey Jr... but i was disappointed to see that this was Mel's long awaited return. I mean i get it, you don't want to stray to far away from the regular genres and you don't want to be same old same old either, but it wasn't really the story i was disappointed in... it was his acting... the scene at teh very end when he gets shot and poisoned at the same time... the wabelings up the stairs was torture for me... it seemed beyond amateur to a level that i thought maybe its a body double. Sadly it wasn't and i didn't know how to forgive it... maybe it doesn't matter in the larger scale of the movie, but thats what i was left with in my mind. Maybe next time...
